Getting Started

Start here before you make your first copy

DaneTrades now uses a web-managed setup with a local copier runtime. This guide gives you the current setup order, the right app labels to look for, and the checks that make the first test copy easier to verify.

  • Matches the current web app navigation
  • Explains what is managed in the app and what runs locally
  • Written for both local PC and Windows VPS setups

How DaneTrades works

DaneTrades has two parts. The web app is where you sign in, connect accounts, and choose what to copy. The DaneTrades app on your PC or VPS is what actually copies trades. That machine must stay on while copying runs.

Setup happens in this order:

If your first test does not copy

Check the basics in this order:

  • The local runtime is installed, signed in, and online.
  • The trading accounts show as connected in the app.
  • The copier connection is enabled and points to the right source and receiver.
  • Symbol mapping is configured where broker symbol names differ.
  • The receiver account accepts the order size and has enough margin.
Good next step: if the setup looks correct but the trade still does not land, open Logs, check Copy Health, and then keep moving through troubleshooting with the latest diagnostics in hand.
